by hadar ahuvia with Jesse Zaritt and Bria Bacon
Live davening (prayer chanting) lead by Yoel Kohn, with Sara Feldman, Ruth Geye, Cantor Zachary Konigsberg, Cantor Sam Levine, Lili Rosen
Lighting Design by Niall Jones
Stage management by Cameron Barnett

Field Work proposes Ashkenazi davening (prayer) as a model for collective being and interdependence. The soundscape of a traditional morning service becomes a score for action- unmetered voices flow in unruly streams, pockets of heterophonic unison hold space for individual yearning within collective action; listening and moving bodies open a field for imagining diversity of relationships.

FieldWork (formerly nefesh) is sponsored, in part, by the Greater New York Arts Development Fund of the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, administered by Brooklyn Arts Council. It is also supported by the Center for New Jewish Culture.
